El Timón is located on the beach of the most beautiful bay in Central America. We are proud of the original and traditional dishes we have been serving in San Juan del Sur since 1979. Each day we work with our local fishermen to give you the freshest fish and seafood possible.
El Timon was founded by Don René Granja Calderon and his wife Doña Frida Fajardo, both citizens. With over 30 years of restaurant experience under his belt, El Timon has evolved into a favorite fish and seafood restaurant for visitors and residents of San Juan del Sur. Now the next generation of Granjas have taken over the restaurant duties, but the watchful eye of Don René remains. Don René and Doña

At El Timon, you will find your familiar seafood dishes as well as more exotic fare using our authentic Nicaraguan beach recipes. We have plenty of savory beef and chicken meals to suit your taste.
